Autumn Trinket Dish Workshop

  • Celebrate the arrival of the cosiest season of the year with our Autumn Clay Trinket Dish Workshop, led by the talented ceramicist Sarah Derbyshire. Taking place on the last Sunday before autumn officially begins, this creative and relaxing session invites you to craft your own porcelain trinket dish using a range of decorative techniques and colourful underglazes.

    You'll be guided step-by-step as you personalise your dainty dish with charming autumnal embellishments – think tiny pumpkins, falling leaves, curious hedgehogs, and miniature toadstools – capturing the magic and warmth of the season.

    Whether you're new to clay or a returning maker, this workshop is a wonderful way to ease into autumn, surrounded by creativity, inspiration, and seasonal cheer.

    All materials, tools, underglazes, bisque firing, and a clear gloss glaze finish are included in the price – leaving you with a beautifully handcrafted keepsake to treasure or gift.

    The cost is £30 per person
    The session will last for 1 hour 30 minutes.

    The cost includes one trinket dish that has been coloured, glazed & fired per guest.

    Complete beginners welcome.

  • Sarah Derbyshire specialises in throwing and handbuilding and is an inspiring and empathetic tutor. With several years of experience Sarah also draws on her own experience as a former student to create a warm and supporting learning environment.

    All of our courses will be held at our studio in Fenton, Stoke on Trent.

    Equipment provided:
    Disposable aprons and towels will be provided for your course.

    Ceramic Firings:
    Included in the cost is the underglaze colouring, clear glazing and firing of your trinket dish. One tricket dish created per guest. Please allow up to 6 weeks for your work to be fired following your course.

    We will be in touch via email to inform you when the work is ready. Please also note that with any type of ceramics there is always a risk that your item might not make it through the firing process.

    Payment Terms:
    Course fees are payable at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse attendance on the course if payment is not received prior to the course date.

    Name transfer:
    You can transfer your place on the course at any time prior to the course start. No charge will be made for this providing there is no change to the course or date.

    Cancellations by you:
    Should you need to cancel your booking your cancellation must be received via the cancellation button in your booking confirmation at least 14 days prior to the event. A refund will be made which will total the full amount paid less 5% to cover our payment merchant fees. We are unable to process a refund for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the event, even if due to a technical error. If you haven't had confirmation of cancellation, please get in touch via email before cancellation cut off.

    Cancellations by us:
    Should it be necessary due to reasons beyond our control to cancel an event then our liability is limited to a full refund of the event fee paid.

    Transferring Course Dates:
    Should you need to transfer your booking date you will need to contact us in writing at least 14 days prior to the event. Within this period we will be able to rearrange your course date. We are unable to change your date when notice is received less than 14 days prior to the event.

    Course Suitability:
    Whilst we are happy to offer advice for each course, which is for guidance only, it remains the responsibility of the delegate to decide whether a course is deemed suitable for them. All bookings are taken subject to these conditions.

Little Clay Ghosties Workshop

  • Join us at LoveClay for a fang-tastic clay workshop where you’ll sculpt your very own trio of adorable Little Ghosties! This hands-on session is perfect for all ages and abilities – whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned potter, it’s all about embracing creativity and having fun.

    What’s included:

    • Hand-build three mini ghost sculptures from clay

    • Add personality and charm with coloured underglaze decoration

    • All materials and firing of up to 3 ghosties included

Mug Making Workshop

Wear It Pink - Raising Money for Breast Cancer

  • Join us to hand-build your own boob mug in support of breast cancer awareness.
    This creative and light-hearted workshop is open to survivors, families, friends, and supporters – everyone is welcome!

    In this 2-hour session, you’ll be guided step-by-step to handbuild a boob-inspired mug using clay, and then decorate it using colourful underglazes. Your masterpiece will be fired and finished with a clear glaze, ready for collection a few weeks later.

    Let’s come together, get creative, and raise funds for an important cause. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll leave with a handmade mug and a big pink smile!
